Tran Templeton is a teacher educator and doctoral candidate in Curriculum & Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has been a school director as well as a teacher of young children and children and youth with special needs. Currently she teaches courses in inquiry and curriculum to pre-service teachers in the Early Childhood Masters program at Teachers College. Tran’s dissertation problematizes intensifying, yet under-theorized, photo-documentation practices in early childhood classrooms. The children/co-researchers in her study take up the role of knowledge producers and photographers as they represent themselves in images.
