Rondi Silva

rshedshotRondi Silva is an educator, consultant, and doctoral candidate in Urban Education at the CUNY Graduate Center. She began her career in education as a teaching (visual) artist for Lincoln Center Institute and Symphony Space’s CAP program, and later became a founding faculty member of CUNY Prep, a college preparatory program for out of school youth in the Bronx. She now works as a consultant for dropout prevention and recovery programs across the country. Her research focuses on identity narratives of out of school youth, and employs visual and multimodal methodological approaches. On entering the UED program she was awarded a Sponsored Chancellor’s Fellowship and subsequently received a Graduate Student Research Grant and, in its inaugural year, a Provost’s Digital Innovation Grant.
